Watershed Hero Government

Shenandoah Watershed Hero Governments

More than 44,000 individuals are served by over a dozen government entities in the watershed in Shenandoah County. Individually our impact may not seem like much, but collectively we can all work together to ensure we enjoy our watershed now and in the future.

Be a Shenandoah Watershed Hero!

Shenandoah Watershed Hero Governments are working hard everyday to protect our county's rich resources, including our lands and local rivers and streams. Their commitment to protecting local water quality shields the local community from potential harm and loss. Actions like adopting rain gardens and permeable pavement, introducing native plants into landscaping projects, and conducting regular maintenance of storm drains, all support a thriving Shenandoah County and speak to the stewardship mindset of our Watershed Hero Governments!
