Watershed Heroes

Healthy Rivers. Thriving Valleys.

Our Watershed Heroes program helps homeowners, businesses, schools, governments, and farmers do something beautiful by taking real action to help our watershed. From fishing its waters, to swimming and kayaking on the weekends, to relying on it for productive use of our lands, our watershed is vital to all of us and only together can we ensure the next generation gets to enjoy it the way we do. The intent of the program is to recognize and acknowledge the amazing work already being done in the community and connect others with these success stories so we can all learn from each other.

Be a Shenandoah Watershed Hero!

Watershed Heroes can take many actions, from choosing native plants to conserving water and keeping pollutants out of local waterways. We are stewards working to protect local waterways, creating healthy rivers and thriving valleys for ourselves and future generations.
