BLS/ALS Protocol Rollout – REQUIRED FOR NEW EMTs

Shenandoah County Dept. of Fire and Rescue, in conjunction with Lord Fairfax EMS Council, will be sponsoring training on the 2019 Lord Fairfax EMS Council Patient Care Guidelines.
This training is designed to orient BLS and ALS providers in Shenandoah County, with the policies and guidelines used to standardize the delivery of patient care throughout the region. Per the request of Dr. Nazir Adam, MD – Operational Medical Director, this training is mandatory for all newly certified providers and new volunteers in our system who are to be released to provide EMS care in Shenandoah County. This is also available for providers who have advanced their EMS credentials.

Masks will be required to attend training, unless you have a medical condition or disability that prevents wearing a mask. If you do not own a mask, we will provide you with one. We will be

practicing social distancing. If you feel ill or have had known exposure to COVID patient in the last 14 days, please do not attend.
