Shenandoah County has a quality workforce ready to fulfill present and future industry needs. Our on-time graduation rate is 90% (2010). The number of high school graduates continuing education ranks at 87%. Shenandoah County is located within 10 miles of Lord Fairfax Community College and thirty minutes from Shenandoah University to the north, and James Madison University to the south.

Shenandoah County is home to the Massanutten Governor’s School for Integrated Environmental Science and Technology. The Governor’s School is located within Triplett Tech Career and Technical Center, which prepares students for a variety of careers, including technology, culinary, and trade fields.

Within 10 miles of Shenandoah County is Workforce Solutions, a part of Lord Fairfax Community College. Workforce Solutions provides training and professional development through a variety of workshops and classes.

The fact that 373 Shenandoah County residents were recipients of a Career Readiness Certificate within a 9 month period in 2010 demonstrates the drive of our workforce and current employers in being the best that they can be in the workplace.
