Shenandoah County completed its initial strategic planning process for economic development in April of 2013.
The ad-hoc steering committee which guided the process consisted of two members of the Board of Supervisors, two members of the Industrial Development Authority, SCPS Superintendent, and one member of the Planning Commission.
Identical resolutions of endorsement were adopted by the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors, Industrial Development Authority, and Planning Commission. Those resolutions recognized the value of the strategic planning process, articulated the purpose of the strategic plan, recognized the hard work of the steering committee members, and directed staff to periodically review and maintain the accuracy and relevance of the document.
Each of the four actionable goals identified in the plan have either been achieved, or are currently underway.
No meetings are scheduled at this time.
