 Shenandoah County is accepting applications for the position of part-time Office Assistant/Weighmaster at the Department of Solid Waste Management. Work hours include Saturdays and occasional weekdays from 7:45a.m – 4:15p.m

Essential functions include weighing incoming trucks, directing customers to proper areas, answering the telephone, and issuing bills. Applicants must have the ability to meet and communicate effectively with the public. Work is in an office environment but may include exposure to noise, vehicle exhaust fumes, vibrations, dust, and variance in temperature and weather. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in clerical and customer service is preferred. Hourly pay is on the County Pay Scale Grade 10 starting between $13.36/hr and $14.38/hr. Benefits are not included.
