Public Hearing DHCD for the CDBG COVID-19 response; June 23, 2020 @ 7pm


PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room of the County Government Center, 600 North Main Street, Woodstock, Virginia.

The subject of the public hearing is the following:

The Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors intends to submit an application to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for grant funding from the Community Development Block Grant Virginia Funding Opportunities for COVID-19 Response. The purpose of the grant funding is to provide grants to small businesses in Shenandoah County to reimburse rent and mortgage expenses incurred during the shutdown and costs associated with reopening.

While we have a threat of transmission of the COVID-19 Coronavirus and in recognition of the Governor’s orders, please do not appear in person at this meeting. The Board Chairman will be the only member in attendance to preside over the meeting. The remaining members will be participating virtually.
