Shenandoah County is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Facilities Custodian. The Facilities Custodian performs intermediate semiskilled and skilled work in a variety of facility custodial maintenance assignments along with general custodial duties and other miscellaneous tasks in order to ensure that municipal buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. This is a full-time, 40 hour/week, FLSA non-exempt position with a competitive benefits package, including Virginia Retirement System, health and dental insurance, vacation, sick, and holiday leave. A valid Virginia driver’s license is required. A successful drug test screening is required at hiring. Position requirements include: knowledge of cleaning, minor maintenance, and manual tasks and any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
