NOTICE OF PROPOSED ENLARGEMENT OF THE STONEY CREEK SANITARY DISTRICT
This Notice is hereby given pursuant to and in accordance with Va. Code §§ 21-114, 21-115 and 21-116 that:
In this proceeding, the petitioner Basye Land Company, Inc seeks to petition the Board of Supervisors of Shenandoah County for inclusion of two parcels in the Stoney Creek Sanitary District for the purpose of providing water and sewer hook-up to the properties and all proposed residences therein, all of which is more particularly described in the petition and exhibits thereto and to which reference is made for a full and accurate description thereof. A copy of the petition and exhibits are available in the office of the County Administrator, 540-459-6165, at the below stated address. The first parcel is 0.456 acres more or less at Tax Map No. 64-((A))-110A on Orkney Grade, one-half mile west of Basye Post Office in the Ashby Magisterial District of Shenandoah County, Virginia and hereinafter more particularly described by metes and bounds survey made by Newman Surveying dated January 12, 2001. The second parcel is 0.506 acres more or less at Tax Map No. 64-((A))-111 on Orkney Grade Road, one-quarter mile west of Basye, south side of State Road #263 in the Ashby Magisterial District of Shenandoah County, Virginia and hereinafter more particularly described by metes and bounds survey made by W.P. Whitmore dated October 16, 1968.
The Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors has set a hearing date in the Shenandoah County Government Center located at 600 N. Main Street, Woodstock, Virginia on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., for the hearing of public comment concerning the possible enactment of an ordinance extending the boundaries of and enlarging the Stoney Creek Sanitary District to include the above described properties.
All interested persons who reside in or own property in the Stoney Creek Sanitary District or in the territories proposed to be included therein shall have the right to appear at the above described hearing and show cause as to why properties under consideration should or should not be included in the Stoney Creek Sanitary District.
