Public Hearing – Tax Exemption; Shenandoah Meadows


The Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors intends to consider whether to adopt an ordinance designating real property located at 443 Meadow View Lane, Fort Valley, Virginia, 22652 and owned by Shenandoah Meadows, Inc. as exempt from real property taxes. Citizen comments regarding the proposed tax exemption ordinance will be heard at a public hearing on May 28, 2019 beginning at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as practical in the Board Meeting Room of the County Government Center, located at 600 N. Main Street, Woodstock, Virginia. The 2019 assessed value of the property owned by Shenandoah Meadows, Inc. was $705,500. The real estate property tax paid in 2018 was $4,515.20 based on a tax rate of .64 cents per $100 assessed value.
