Part-Time Assistant Registrar II

Shenandoah County Office of the General Registrar is accepting applications for the position of  part-time Assistant Registrar II. This position is responsible for registering voters, answering questions from the public, assisting with election preparations, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, working with maps and street files, and performing clerical duties as requested. This is a 24 hour per week position. However, applicants must be willing and available to work an intermittent flexible schedule, substitute for staff in emergencies and work additional hours including up to 40 hours per week during elections. Position requires working two Saturdays and some evenings prior to all elections. Candidate must be a detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter, who enjoys using their analytical skills. Candidate must also possess strong customer service and computer skills, have administrative experience working in an office environment, be able to work independently, and be a registered voter in Virginia. Minimum educational requirements include high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by administrative experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
