Public Notice – Intention to Amend Chapter 20

PUBLIC NOTICE
INTENTION TO AMEND CHAPTER 20
FIRE / EMS AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

The Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors has established its intent, in accordance with Section 15.2-1427 (F) of the Code of Virginia, as amended, to amend an Ordinance pertaining to Chapter 20, Fire/EMS and Emergency Management. The amendments modify, delete and add various definitions, modify section 20-2 and retitle it to “Matters regarding the Chief” and modify provisions regarding mutual aid agreements, standard operating procedures, the list of recognized agencies, and modify the charges for services. Citizen comments regarding the proposed amendments will be received on May 28, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Shenandoah County Government Center located at 600 N. Main Street, Woodstock, Virginia. The proposed amendments are on file at the County Administrator’s Office, 600 N. Main Street, Woodstock, Virginia for public review during regular business hours or you can visit our web site at www.shenandoahcountyva.us and select Public Notices.
