General Office Clerk – Circuit Court (Part-Time)

Shenandoah County Circuit Court is accepting applications for the position of a part-time General Office Clerk (29.5 hours/week). This position is assigned operational responsibilities in a high volume office and will be responsible for answering multiple phone lines as well as assisting customers in person. Duties will include preparing court documents in accordance with established guidelines, automated case management entry, preparing correspondence, and filing court documents. Must be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Most competitive applicants will have knowledge of the court/criminal justice system, will demonstrate competence in areas of responsibility, and be experienced in records management systems and software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks. Competence may typically be demonstrated with a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, or substantial experience in similar responsibilities. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in a highly interactive team-oriented work environment. Salary is on Grade 7 of the County pay scale with a starting hourly rate between $10.99/hour and $12.72/hour depending upon experience.  For a complete Job description please see provided link below.
