The Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors has established its intent, in accordance with Section 15.2-1427 (f) of the Code of Virginia, as amended, to adopt an Ordinance amending Shenandoah County Code Chapter 146: Taxation. The amendments to Chapter 146 consist of proposed changes to the financial worth requirements for persons to be eligible for the senior citizens and disabled persons real estate tax exemption and removing or otherwise amending the limitation on the amount of tax that may be exempted. Public comments regarding this proposed Ordinance amendment will be received at a meeting of the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the County Government Center in the Board Room, 600 N. Main Street, Woodstock, Virginia. A copy of the proposed amended Ordinance is on file at the office of the County Administrator located at 600 N. Main Street, Ste. 102, Woodstock, Virginia and is available for public review during regular business hours. A copy is also available on the County website at
